It is January and in the Midwest it is gray, the trees are bare and it is cold.

My energy feels different; not really down but I am turning inward.

Society poo poos against that, after all; if you aren’t happy you are sad.

Well, I am happy; Yet I feel like a bear; this time of year I need to go inward and reflect about the year before.

2010 ROCKED! I am so humbled and grateful.

Yet, then I became scared; how can 2011 be any better?

Then I felt pressure and became frightened. Now I was in trouble!

That is why I am stepping inward this month. It isn’t about being happy or depressed. Rather it is about taking time to quiet all the hub bub in my head and going through the process of the Best Year Yet and Joy of Goals.

Joy of Goals allows me to celebrate, dream, collaborate and visualize. I get my big picture

Best Year Yet allows me to celebrate but also I figure out what didn’t work last year and why. Then I design my theme along with my guidelines, values and roles.

I use both to design my year.

I am a goal junkie; so I love doing both. However, like a food plan, you need to find what works for you.

I have a few steps you can take to shake off those January doldrums:

1. Accept that this is the time of year to be quiet and still and introspective. Like the bare trees; it may look like they are just there doing nothing, but big things are brewing and come spring those trees will explode with leaves and beautiful color. The same is happening to you; don’t fight it.

2. Use this time to design your year; do some goal setting, dreaming and visualizing. Your New Year begins when YOU decide. February is my New Year because I use January as my introspection time.

3. Tweak as you go tweak as you go tweak as you go. However, you can only tweak if you take action.

Boy, I don’t know what it is but my mind has been creating a whirlwind of programs and systems.

This morning, I woke at 4:30am and had a brainstorm and this is it.

See, I am offering a new service come January.

It is called the Knock Out Body Transformation Blueprint.

It is a fast paced session that will assess where you are, where you want to go and outline a plan to get you there.

I am offering it as Holiday Gift for you or a friend along with lots of other goodies.

I LOVE GOALS!!

I love the whole process of brainstorming, goal setting, planning, implementing, and evaluating.

I don’t know why I love it I just do!

I am so committed to helping women realize their dreams; whether it be health, wellness, spiritual, business or relationships.

After all I am a holistic health coach; I work with the whole person to help  my clients transform their body and their lives!

Tomorrow, I am facilitating a workshop called Joy Of Goals, the brainchild of Karen Hoffman.  We are going to celebrate our year so far and then map out a plan to ramp it up for the Fourth Quarter.

We all need help, support, accountability and celebration but in the end YOU are the only one who can make their dreams come true.
